Even though your physician should take a personal interest in you, that hasn't always been my experience in the past. Dr. Shepard makes me feel like he genuinely cares about my health. He's also very kind, and he makes sure I understand my questions are answered. I also appreciate that he never acts as if he's in a hurry.

Standoffish, didn’t take my concerns seriously. When I said how much pain I’m in I was told I need to get up and walk more. Which I explained it’s going to just make it hurt. I’m not against physical therapy. But when you are in the amount of pain I am in. I literally decide if I can go get food from my kitchen or just not eat at all some days. BASICALLY HE DIDN’T LISTEN

The doctor was attentive and his staff is really helpful. I’m hopeful that seeing him will completely change my quality of life. The pharmacy downstairs is the best I’ve ever seen, and they coordinate with his office like a beautiful symphony. Really can’t say enough good things

He is very thorough and detail oriented. He listened to all of my concerns and took time to review them all with me. I was very nervous about getting bad news before meeting him. That went away within minutes because of his demeanor and of course finding out I didn't have to have surgery.

Claimed symptoms are not neurological solely based on MRI results, even though all my other specialists believe it is neurological. He said the muscle aches, which I get all over my body, are due to bad posture. He said that my paraesthesia is something I "Just need to learn how to deal with." He told me to see a psychiatrist and eat a better diet.

He answered my questions thoroughly and explained what test results from last October could mean, as well as what was unlikely. He asked a number of questions and listened carefully to my explanation of my issue. He did a number of basic reflex and sensory tests and recommended a panel of blood tests, one of which uncovered an autoimmune abnormality which he recommended be reviewed by a rheumatologist. He responded promptly to test results as they were posted to my chart.
