5.0 star star star star starGreat experience overall. Doctor spent time asking questions, listening and understanding the state of my health. Dr McDermott has great insight into what is current preventative care and other screenings due to the other work she does with research and teaching.

5.0 star star star star starDr. McDermott has been my doctor for over 25 years, she is very thorough, respectful and compassionate. Every time I emailed her with a question or concern, she responded in a very timely manner with reassuring feedback I would definitely recommend her to family and friends.

5.0 star star star star starDr. McDermott has been my primary physician for a number of years. She listens, takes time with me as a patient, and I never feel rushed. She discusses treatment options, and asks for feedback. She's also up to date on all the latest medical information. Cannot recommend her highly enough.

5.0 star star star star starThis was my first visit with Dr. McDermott, and I liked her a lot. She is very thorough and also very caring and knowledgable. I do feel that the scheduling department should give her more time with each patient, especially with a new patient. She gave me the extra time that was needed, and I know that put her even further behind for her next patients, since she was already about 25 minutes behind when she saw me.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
