1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI wouldn’t recommend Dr.Marybeth she made me feel really uncomfortable I also felt like she was judging me for declining Pap smear today she did not ask me what was my reason of declining the Pap smear She looked annoyed with me like I wasting her time I went for multiple health reasons today but I felt like I couldn’t discuss that with her I did not feel comfortable and I felt embarrassed and judge that’s why I cut my visit short I went to clinic with important health issue and left with the same health issue it she made me bad I regretted making this appointment this the first time I seen a gynecologist and it would be last I will never in my life make another appointment for gynecologist I

5.0 star star star star starDr Lore is a wonderful doctor. She is so nice and kind and concerned about my well being. In all the years I’ve had gyny exams by gynecologists they hurt to varying degrees. Dr Lore has the magic touch, no pain. Amazing!

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderI am writing this survey because my experience made such an impression on me especially since I been going to the office since the begin of my pregnancy. Dr. Lore did nothing wrong but I felt a lack of bedside manner. The experience seem very transactional. Thankfully, I had no concerns but it felt like she didn’t want to be there or take the time to connect. This was my first time seeing her and my first impression was so discouraging I decided to change a second appointment I had with her. To make matters worse she registered me for my delivery without my consent and marked herself as my doctor. I am just not feeling very happy with my overall experience or confident of having her as my doctor in the future.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI didn’t feel heard, more judged, I felt like I was stupid - from the moment she walked in. Did not feel comfortable. No eye contact. She only said she could schedule me on two days that happen to be the days shes working and gave me no options for induction just decided what she would use without even explaining any process. I’m so lost, I just wanted to cry after this appointment. Never felt like that after any other appointment with any other OBGYN. Especially at such a sensitive time too, I don’t know what to do.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderMy appointment with Dr. Lore was surprisingly antagonistic and disappointing. She did not treat me as an individual patient or ask me questions. I missed one appointment in my prenatal care, which Dr. Lore continued to refer to as “several appointments†despite my attempts to correct her. She also seemed to believe that my one missing appointment meant that I would continue to miss future appointments, and used increasingly intense fear tactics to discuss my decision to have an epidural when I do have my baby… months from now. She was also incorrect about my baby’s gestational age and it seemed to me that the fact I declined diabetic testing made her treat me with hostility. I will be attempting to reschedule my future appointments with a different OB.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderI did not feel as though she was listening to me, interested in my symptoms or helpful in looking for solutions. She was 30 minutes late and I just felt like she didn’t care at all. And I know caring about every patient would be hard, but she wasn’t even baseline friendly. I felt like she wanted to get out of the room and didn’t even give me any suggestions on resources for the symptoms I described. I didn’t feel like discussing my health with her because I felt like she wanted to leave the second she walked in.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderI’ve always had positive experiences with Northwestern. This was my first time seeing Dr. Lore, and to be honest, for the first time in almost 10 years seeing doctors with/or affiliated with this health system, I didn’t love my experience. I was really nervous about the procedure, and I didn’t feel reassured at all during the appointment. It felt rushed and dismissive. It was a follow up at the recommendation of my previous doctor, and Dr. Lore asked some questions/made comments that left me feeling really uneasy after. I was already feeling vulnerable and I personally want to feel like my doctor is kind, understanding and interested in working with me to make the best decisions. Ultimately, she completed the procedure, which I am thankful for, but it just unfortunately wasn’t a pleasant experience for me.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderFelt she was unprepared, confused my notes with another patient when discussing baby’s gender, which was nerve-wracking. She also tried to talk me out of my decision for a c-section after having a c-section with my first which I felt was unprofessional. Despite my experience the first time being positive and my desire to avoid the serious risks of a uterine rupture, she repeatedly emphasized the worse risks of the c-section especially given my age and weight. I am only 32 and felt unfairly judged for my weight that has not contributed to any health issues nor was in any way related to my previous birth. This felt more like an opinion and I was not expecting to be argued with by the doctor. The other doctors I’ve seen have been much more professional with the conversation and not pushed repeatedly after I shared my reasoning and choices.

4.0 star star star star star_borderNormally, I have never felt rushed by Northwestern providers, even when we had limited time. Our visit with Dr. Lore felt more rushed (perhaps by reasons beyond her control) and less reassuring compared to prior visits.

4.0 star star star star star_borderShe answered my questions but was quick to point out that 95% of women get epidurals. This made me feel a bit judged for considering a no epidural option and not comfortable asking other natural birth questions.

She provided very little information when making care recommendations, and became dismissive when I pointed out that her advice was very different from what I was told at my previous appointment. Her manner was cold and seemed judgmental.

I asked what about cancer in the family. Well you don’t have cancer so we don’t know if your schools will have cancer. Not informative at all.

I have been to this provider before for routine gynecology appointments and at the end of this first OB appointment, she said it was nice to meet me. Wow. Not going back.
