Dr. Akhter is a wonderful physician who takes the time to truly get to know her new patients. As a new patient myself, I feel so confident that I am in very capable hands with a physician who has the latest research and knowledge of both oncology and cardiology practices. I felt heard, and very comfortable with my initial meeting with her as well as with her recommendations for a change in medications. I am feel fortunate to be under her care.

Dr. Akhter took the time needed to review my past health history via my input and medical records going back many years. She was patient and thorough. I felt secure in her approach to helping me investigate my cardiac concerns. We put together a plan of action to gather the next pieces of information. I felt reassured by her professionalism and relaxed by her kind and friendly manner.

Dr. Akhter is warm, intelligent, thorough, and patient. One suggestion would be for her (and all drs.) to briefly read through all my medical history several minutes before we actually meet thus refreshing her memory (and mine) - especially since it was a year ago since we last met. This would be more efficient than searching through all the info while I'm there. Otherwise, Dr. Akhter is a10!
