4.0 star star star star star_borderMY INITIAL CONSULTATION with Dr. Khan was excellent. She was fully present and provided a clear explanation of my diagnosis. She provided a clear treatment plan with a clear rationale that I understood. I found her style of presentation informative & clear, comforting and supportive. I left with a positive outlook on why and how to move forward. I would give her a recommended rating of a 10. MY SECOND CONSULTATION with Dr. Khan left me feeling somewhat concerned for the following reasons: 1. I felt she was not fully present and aware of why we were there. 2. I felt I had to prompt and pull for explanations/clarification and also had to identify the purpose for our second consultation. 3. Information wasn't delivered as clear and concise as my initial consultation 4. A major question about test outcomes - which prompted the need for the second consultation - was not immediately addressed. I had to ask questions to prompt to obtain deeper explanation and clarity. 5. I left feeling I still needed more information - particularly since the treatment plan was significantly changed and would require more extensive surgery. 6. I did not leave with the same confidence garnered in our first surgical consultation. 7. I would also say this - it would be profoundly helpful if there was a summary of and treatment plan provided in writing for the patient to refer to on MyChart. While discussions are taking place it is difficult to remember everything that is discussed. In general, this would not make me not recommend Dr. Khan, however I would recommend anyone going tot a consultation to try and prepare as much as possible in order to advocate for what they need. To ask questions until they felt they fully understood what they needed to know. To take someone with them - to take notes and to ask questions that they think need to be asked. And/or to get another meeting or seek a second opinion if they feel unsure. Ultimately -Dr. Khan just seemed tired and not as focused - but distracted compared to our previous meeting - which happens sometimes. She in fact -thanked me for reminding her of a previous conversation we had and the purpose for our meeting and I appreciated that. It seemed to bring the meeting into focus and moved towards the info that I needed. - Over all it made things somewhat disconcerting in trying to gain the clarity I needed in understanding the more recent Mammogram and biopsy results and the treatment options/plan moving forward. Again, I would still recommend her because I feel she is a caring and skilled surgeon from speaking with others

5.0 star star star star starDr. Seema Khan is the best!!! She did a great job on me and I trust her more than any doctor out there. She has fully earned my trust and I know it will be hard to find anyone that comes close to her level of expertise. I was very fortunate to have had her do my surgery. No one at the Cleveland Clinic Weston or Moffit Tampa can understand her level of expertise in her practice. I tried both and was disenchanted at their level of expertese. I wish I had someone as competent as her here in Florida; but, I have already accepted the fact that that person does not exist here. Therefore, I must travel from Florida to Chicago for my annual exams.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Khan has been an important part of my life for over 20 years. Dr. Khan is professional, kind and always informs me of the latest research and makes recommendations specific to me. She answers all my questions and explains her findings in a clear manner. Dr. Khan has a wonderful team that works with her. Recently I called when my gynecologist found a concerning area in my breast. I received a callback within 24 minutes and her RN helped me schedule a mammogram and ultrasound as well as an apt. with Dr. Khan all in the same day as soon as she could schedule all 3 apts. This made a great deal to me as any woman can imagine.

5.0 star star star star starShe and her entire team took my Medical PTSD EXTREMELY seriously and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable in their care. After 10 months of being abused by other facilities across Michigan and Illinois, it was comforting to finally find a place where my mental health condition was taken as seriously as my breast cancer. I also appreciate her approach to move me from a previous mastectomy diagnosis to a far, far less invasive lumpectomy, thereby preserving a HUGE chunk of my mental health and ability to cope with the aftermath of my disease.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI really like Dr. Khan and feel she is very focused on your care. Sometimes though it feels like she is more interested in me as a research candidate than as a patient. I think this is because she is so driven and focused on finding solutions for women with breast cancer, which I really, really get and admire...but I feel like sometimes she's so focused on that, it feels like the case at hand is secondary. Overall though, I think she is an amazing physician and surgeon. I appreciated that she told me to live my life....despite my above comment, I feel fortunate to have found her.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDr Khan made time for me at short notice. She came up with a plan for treatment to try and manage my rare and difficult condition. I look forward to working with Dr Khan for my future treatment.
