5.0 star star star star starHe is personable, listens, and talks to you like he cares about you. He is the only doctor that has presented good treatment options for me. I was originally a patient of Dr. Hanauer’s at UofC, but didn’t move over to Northwestern at first. I made the switch shortly afterwards though because the quality of care was not like it was under Dr. Hanauer.

5.0 star star star star star1. Hanauer's experience 2. The fact that Hanauer is very open-minded. He knows the current research AND is able to look at my individual test results and apply that current research information. He understands that not everything regarding gi health is concrete. Some individuals respond to one medicine and others (with the same or similar test result information) may not respond to that same medication.

5.0 star star star star starBeen seeing Dr. Hanauer for 21 years. Has always been kind and compassionate while delivering state of the art care. Is always extremely responsive and always responds to MyChart messages on the same day, most of the time within a couple of hours. He has a great staff and Ariel, his nurse, provides outstanding response and follow-up to issues. Great teamwork!
