I have a great team of providers at Northwestern but needed a new dermatologist, and my first impression of Dr. Keegan and nurse Madeline was very positive. Both were so thorough in their questions and their intake/consideration of my history. Dr, Keegan was very friendly, humorous and real about aging and what expectations I could have for different treatments. I have felt insecure before in presenting to dermatologists (all very good) because they presented as flawless (not their fault that they were blessed with good skin too). However, with Dr. Keegan (who also had good skin herself), she was real about the aging issues and treatments she herself has undergone and spoke from experience as well. I really appreciated that transparency and authenticity and my ailments didn't feel as shameful. She was so thorough with the action steps I needed to take. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She and Madeline were pros, but very caring and considerate.

She makes conversation throughout the skin exam, making me comfortable, and also explains all of my skin issues, and takes time to answer my question. She also asks me about all of my preventative care, and suggests doctors for care if I ask. One of the most thorough doctors I have had.
