5.0 star star star star starDr. Monson listens to your concerns and evaluates each of them. My children feel comfortable enough to express themselves about how they are feeling and if they feel that need something they tell her.

5.0 star star star star starDr Monson is just the best. She takes her time during appointments and interacts well with scared little kids. She is so knowledgeable and all her recommendations have been great. She knows when to test, when to wait, and where to go for another opinion. I also always appreciate the phone call follow up when my kids are sick. She never seems like she is in a rush or annoyed with questions.

5.0 star star star star starShe came late but she explained why. She figured out what to do right away. I appreciated that she asked for a second opinion immediately and she made me feel in very good hands. The second opinion doctor confirmed was she said. I really liked that she asked for a consultation. She is very confident and very professional. She was professional but also caring and nice (and funny) towards my son!

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderDr. Monson told us that we “bent†the rules by taking the last appointment of the day. We were shocked by this comment as we followed the typical procedures to make an appointment. And our child had a very bad ear infection and needed a antibiotic. It was just poor customer service-which we were really surprised by.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
