5.0 star star star star starDr. Steinke is so nice first of all. He is never rushed to get out of the room. Explains in detail everything. I have had many surgeries and many doctors appointments and I believe he's really one of the best doctors I ever had.

5.0 star star star star stari told folks about Dr. Steinke and my experience post the visit. It was the best experience I ever had with a doctors appointment. I never waited. He helped me understand possible reasons for my hand issues, and told me he was going to talk to his hand specialist friend. I thought that would be a few days. He came back into the room to let me know Sara (the Nurse) was the only one on staff that day and she would be a little delayed seeing me for discharge. He had also talked to the hand specialist immediately after he left and help me secure a EMG and visit with the doctor within less than a week.

5.0 star star star star starI drive almost 2 hours to get care from Dr Steinke and the other doctors at Northwestern. I have found their care and patient bedside manner to be really above and beyond. I feel listened to and I feel like I have options, and Dr. Steinke has even celebrated my successes with me as I work toward goals around surgery. The nursing staff when I was getting my neck injections were so kind, they held my hand - literally - to provide me support when I was in pain. I definitely recommend getting care here.

5.0 star star star star starDr Steinke provided spot on diagnosis of my condition and surgically repaired my back. He did not pressure me into surgery and guided me to an informed decision after exhausting all other options. He also brought together an excellent team to assist. If not for his expertise I would be in a wheelchair

5.0 star star star star starThe surgery he did on me was excellent because the pain I had was unbearable and, after the surgery, I felt almost no pain. My recovery feels a bit slow but every day improving. Thank you Dr Steinke!

5.0 star star star star starDr.Steinke was very nice, he listened, gave eye contact and was not rushed to get out of the room. Made sure I understood his treatment plan and made sure it was okay with me as well. I am in pain management and most times, DOCTORS judge me before even knowing why I am there. Dr.Steinke didn't bat an eye and that made me feel like he cared and that I was being heard.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderThe doctor talked to me like an individual instead of as though I was one of a number of patients to be seen. He is straightforward and friendly. I am upset that the Dr. Steinke referred to me as a he instead of as a she which is how I identify and what my legal gender really is.

5.0 star star star star starDr Steinke’s was articulate at everything that he told me showed me all the x-rays what was what has happened and what they were going to do when how they were going to do it and he was very thorough and I after that I started to feel like I I could wrap my head around it and I wasn’t as scared as I was prior to that again thank you

5.0 star star star star starDr. Steinke is not a doctor who automatically thinks surgery for my issues. He is willing to explore other avenues to find out exactly what the problem is and the best way, that I am comfortable with, to treat the issue.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderThe doctor talked down to me. The doctor didn't address part of the problem. Doctor laughed at my sister when she was requesting an MRI for me. He was super condescending and borderline mean. He had a very bad attitude. He refused multiple times to provide an order for an MRI and argued about insurance. He said the insurance would refuse it if I didn't do PT first, which we explained is not how my insurance works as we have gotten MRIs without PT and our insurance has covered it. It was an overall horrible experience for me and my sister who joined me at the appointment. I am 20 years old and my sister is 19. I figured a doctor would respect me simply because I was a patient, but I was very wrong. I guess I need a parent to join me, so that I wouldn't be treated so crappily. I also picked Dr. Steinke because of his credentials, because he was older and very experienced. What I didn't realize is the credentials and experience mean nothing if the doctor treats the patient horribly and doesn't listen to them.
