He is fine but always talks so fast like he wants to get your visit over with. Has noted multiple times "this is what I'd have my wife do" which is probably meant to be reassuring that he'd recommend something and trusts the science enough to let his wife do it, but actually comes across like he's a man that knows better than a woman about how to take care of her body. I read a note he placed in my chart and some of it was outright inaccurate or incomplete, and one comment was actually pretty insulting, suggesting that he didn't believe my symptoms, offering basically no help (except to say "good luck getting into physical therapy because they're all slammed" - I was able to get an appointment within the NM network EIGHT MONTHS later, which is totally unacceptable).

I would trust Dr. Macek with my life. He’s been my doc for over 13 years and has seen me through a very rough twin pregnancy and delivery and now through the changes that come with peimenooause. His knowledge, care, and expertise are the very best there is. He answers questions thoroughly and provides science, data, and research that gives me full confidence in everything he does.

Dr Macek is an excellent communicator. He has a very caring approach, explaining beforehand what needs to be done and then exactly what he’s doing during procedures while always checking to make sure you’re ok. Dr Macek is highly skilled and very thorough. I also appreciate his skill in conveying medical information so it is easily understood.

This visit felt rushed. I felt statements were not explained. I had to clarify multiply times. Provider kept referencing risk factors but never explained what they were. Gained a lot more clarity from my MFM MD.
