1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderDr. Carlins was very dismissive. He did not listen to my concers. He made very vague recommendations. He did not explain my hearing test scores, just placed a print out on the bench across the room. He was very cold and gave the impression that I was wasting his time. I will never return because of this doctor and will recommend peers to go elsewhere. These types of doctors are why people do not seek medical attention when they need it.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_border*didn’t knock when he came in *spent less than a minute doing actual care *gave me a diagnosis and provided NO insight or next steps on how to find a provider. Couldn’t even tell me what would be done *told me I had a disorder then didn’t even give me a handout describing what it was (saw it and grabbed it on the way out) *I lost my smell due to Covid and when I asked about it, recommended a CAT scan that “probably wouldn’t show anythingâ€. Gave me no insight or feedback, just told me I was out of luck?? Worst feeling ever

4.0 star star star star star_borderThis was my first visit with Dr. Carlin. I was satisfied with his explanation of the two problems I presented. Basically, he said to continue using Ayr Saline Nasal Gel and to drink more water. He did not administer any treatment.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderHe didn’t really seem to care about me, just “what do you want?†I’ve filled out the reason 3 times By now, “ok, we’ll do basic stuff first, see ya in two months after your test, which you need to schedule, “ I mean, at least he looked in my ears, nose and throat. Whole visit was 10 minutes, after waiting two months. Really makes you feel valued.now I gotta wait again. Boy I hope I don’t have something serious. Or time sensitive. But I guess since I made it to my appointment, I’m not dying and that’s what emergency rooms are for, right? Let them deal with it.

4.0 star star star star star_borderHe was the usual doctor. Quick and didn't feel like he was treating a person. Not very personable and seemed to be in a hurry. He wanted to quickly get done, and was by the textbook. I was an easy enough case so it was as if he had nothing else to be curious about.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderVisit was rushed and said I needed hearing test before he could formulate a care plan. Had hearing test in nov wish I would have known I needed a second before this visit. I feel like this was a waste of time.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Carlins is a good doctor, and you can really tell he loves what he does. He’s straight forward and gets to the point. We have another baby on the way, and if it so happens we need the same procedure performed we’re relieved to know we can count on someone to deliver exceptional care. Thank you for helping our daughter, it has 100% made a night and day difference in her sleep.

The appointment was supposed to be at least thirty minutes but he only spent ten minutes for the appointment. He only looked at the problem once and was impatient in explaining to us.

Carlins did not know my medical history which is available for NOrthwestern given that I was Northwestern Medicine patient for the last 12 years. Very disappointed and I am not comfortable with him being my doctor, however, as per Judy we can’t change it now.
